I do want to see reunification of my country eventually but immediate reunification will have negative effect on SK economy. Millions of refugees, increase in taxes, I don't want that.
-
The Korean peninsula will end up like Germany, divided into Two and the people of North korea realise its shit over their over time and they start breaking down the DMZ and it gets Re-unified under the Republic of Korea.
-
How grateful are the South Koreans for having the Americans protect them from the evil North Koreans? Just wondering.

@Rao665 ye your right ! the will talk about it and try to fix any problems these days u dont wanne go to war whith any bigg countre. to many bigg weapons u dont need a bigg army bigg rockets and nukes are enough. no need to have them anyway!

@owen82100 if SK was ever attacked by NK, that would be the end of NK...from the world community. Even China won't stand for that. This isn't 1930. The rules are different. and conflict is going to be small scale and frequent.

@MapleSephiroth and if those people you "Know" escpaed, then how can you be sure they "LOVED" the regime so much? if they love it and are as brainwashed as you say, then why even think about thoughts of escape?
-
@MapleSephiroth and again, i'm arguing the strength of NK soldiers and its military. Brainwashing doesn't make good soldiers. it just makes them brainwashed. Look at the Iran-Iraq war, and the human wave strategy implemented by brainwashed Iranians. Iran's state IS a brainwashed state at one time. Whereas Iraq was more of a dictatorship. Then you mentioned WMD, as if the North Koreans don't realize that nuking SK essentially nukes themselves as well.

@Rao665 Listen, I know 2 North Korean defectors who live in America right now. They BOTH said that when they were in NK, they LOVED the communist regime. Why? They have no friggin idea, it was just natural instinct to them because they had been taught to like it over the years. Once they escaped and moved to America, they realized why the starvation and hunger was happening and that the NK regime is corrupt.

@owen82100 Owennnnnnnnnn, but you have to realize that there is no one to persuade the North Koreans to change their government. The flow of free knowledge is completely cut off from the outside world in North Korea. These people are cemented into thinking their government is best. If you preach democracy in NK, you will eventually be ratted out by a communist loyalist. Just like in the American revolution.
