"Remember it's just you and me..." BERRY

SURPRISE! *READ*
Meet Berry.
She's a 4 year, Welsh Sec D x, 14.3hh (to make 15/15.1hh)
I've had her about 6 weeks. (I got her 11.06.2011)

She's only a baby, she's not done anything except hack really. The video where she bucks that is my first time trying her. Then the video where she is in the sand arena is my second time trying her. Then where she's trotting about in the woodchip arena is when she just got to mine.

She is very babyish and has a lot to learn. We've had a lot to deal with in the first six weeks.
She first had 2 wolf teeth taken out.
Then i had to have a saddle fitted and order the one i wanted.
Then had to have her feet sorted.
Finally she had physio last friday.

During that I went away for a week to spain.

So she's finally ready to start ridden work. She's never cantered under saddle and never jumped under saddle so she's going to be a complete project.
She's such a lovely natured mare though.

I wasn't going to make a video yet till i had more clips but I decided you should all see her.

For all you who are sat there going "but what about Jimbo"
He's still with me, he'll always be with me.
He's doing great. Had the physio on friday and she said he was in amazing condition.
So he's had a week off and starts his hacking again. He's acting more like the 4 year old than Berry at times but is enjoying his plodding about and pampering.
He has back shoes put back on this week.
I'll make a video of him soon, promise. I just need to find a song.

gosh she looks so lovely! a real beauty, i bet you will do really well with her! ooooooh be careful with those face hooded masks if you turnout in them, i have heard of them slipping and covering thier eyes :/

She's turned out in her snuggy hoods sweetitch hoody which is amazing. (it's in the video at 0.22 seconds)

If fitted correctly they shouldn't slip anywhere near the horses eyes. I highly recommend them :)

Yea, I've heard it happen to about 2 people out of the 1000's that use them. When it came down to how it had happened though it was because the rug didn't fit properly. x

of course you know i think berry is a stunner but i shall repeat myself :) hes a BEAUT :D i love her, havnt seen her paces in video but he trot is just yummy :) cant wait to see more :D xxx

Her trot is more of a shuffle when ridden atm :L Hopefully now her backs sorted and she has a correctly fitted saddle we can unlock them paces whilst she's being ridden. It'll be great for us to watch our two progress together, although May has a year or so on Berry. xxx
