Showing the difference in oil pump drive surface on the early R32 crankshaft vs the late R32/R33/R34 crankshaft. If you have an RB26 you want a late crankshaft in it. http://www.gtrusablog.com

  • @hksTypeR no it does not, the early rb26 models had pump issues because the surface of the crank that meets the pump was machined too small. They would tend to fail at higher rpms. Rb25's are not a very common engine. I guess just not as popularized as the rb20 or rb26. A friend of mine dropped an rb30 into a 240, which btw the way is no longer a nissan made engine as they sold the design to holden. very uncommon but man is it every beautlful.

  • @hksTypeR, My R33 RB25 (S1) had the same 'short' crank. YMMV though.

  • that is nice to know when i get mine

  • good vid

  • Great upload!

  • Very interesting, thanks for that :)

  • thanks, better explained/shown than the previous info Ive seen!
