The Jonathan Hock documentary "Through the Fire" tracks the Coney Island product's evolution from high school phenom to NBA lottery pick. Along the way, Telfair contemplates a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino at the University of Louisville, struggles with the violence of his Brooklyn neighborhood and consumes himself with the desire to get his family out of the projects.

Having seen cousin and NBA star Stephon Marbury make it, Telfair knows big league dreams are within reach. However, Telfair's greatest source of inspiration is his older brother Jamel Thomas, who serves as a cautionary tale of just how elusive an NBA career can be.

  • @ChadLaFlare you are insecure and actually have a small dick, which is why youre so easily baited and angered by some guy whos trolling you on the internet

  • $18,000 for a watch and not one diamond....... That's a boss level

  • instant street cred? niggas got no money for these sneakers man.

  • its ADIDAS.. with an S at the end

  • @GabeRozier of course were looking at his nba career....without his nba career, hes a bust then. High school accomplishments dont mean shit other than setting your foot in a good collegiate school or the NBA. If hes doing horrible in the NBA, no matter how well you did in high school yoru gonna be a bust (Kwame Brown)....luckily hes still int he NBA but hes bouncing around year after year trying to find a home

  • @T82486 you cant even enter the NBA after high school now anyways since they changed the rule

  • Fuck the media. All of them tellin him to go pro then hatin on him once he does.

  • First thing a nigga do when they get some money is go splurge lol smh.

  • If your under 6'0 and your watching this and ppl are you that your good enough for the pros after 1 year....YOUR NOT! Go to school for 3 yrs, develop your strength, speed, shot and your team leadership and when you become a full circle well rounded PG, then tackle the NBA. The NBA is not for all high school standouts, that's why college is the next level, because you see what it did for this guys career and 9x out of 10, at a high school level this guy was probably better than you...

  • his brother is mad nice though.....crazy how he didnt get drafted
