You might think that organizing a major international football tournament would be a bit of a headache. But looking around here on the streets of Kyiv, no fans to speak of, not seemingly any police either -- so what's going on? We went along to talk to Interpol to see what they had to say about taking care of visitors at Euro 2012.

Thousands of potentially unruly fans, or hopefully, well-behaved ones, dozens of police officers from different countries, but what does the EURO 2012 command center actually look like? Let's go take a look. It seems like a very relaxed atmosphere, although to be fair, it wasn't a match day. Even if things seem disquietingly relaxed here in the command center, the coordinated efforts of police forces from different countries looks like it's paying off -- so far there have been very few complaints related to EURO 2012 in Ukraine, and those that have occurred are mainly petty crimes, like stolen wallets or passports.

But despite occasional discrepancies, Ukraine is sure to miss the armies of yellow and blue Swedes and other travelling fans -- and as time ticks towards the final on the first of July, the pressure may feel like it's more on the pitch than on the terraces, but the police word is that problem fans tend not to visit big tournaments -- and over the next week or so, they'll be hoping their predictions of a safe celebration of football come true.
