I own a LOT of CDs, but this one is in the small stack of those that I can't get enough of. There is an honesty that shines through in the Kinks music, a wry understanding of the human condition, an optimism. There is no bullshit in their music. They are British and proud of it, not pretending to be anything other than what they are - true artists. They deserve more respect, not for the purpose of bolstering their egos, but rather to enlighten current rock artists as to what they could be.

I freaked out when I heard "This Time Tomorrow" in a Wes Anderson movie "Darjeeling Limited". Great weird, twisted, sarcastic dark comedy. But it was the first time in YEARS I heard this lovely song I had forgotten about since my youth.

this song makes me want to get a triumph bonneville and a cafe racer jacket, and convince a cute friend of mine to come with me to montreal. then get a cool little apartment. drink coffee and eat pastries. get a simple job in a book store or a record shop.... yeah i think i just pretty much summed up my life plan while listening to a kinks song
