I know that youtube is deleting a lot of accounts because of copyright infringement. Which I think stinks because no profit is made from people who use them for creative purposes.
I definitely recommend getting an account on another site though, just in case.

No one is posting sexually explicit stuff on YouTube and if they are they should get deleted. This is YouTube's excuse for under-rating and deleting videos.
What they are doing is playing marketing politics. Pushing people out to get more views for the videos they think will get them the most money. Much thought went into this I am sure. But what it amounts to is a huge slap in the face for all the people who worked hard to make YT #1. YT deletes them saying fuck off, we don't need you anymore
