You are 100% correct. The re:store is a fractional erbium laser and is the original fraxel laser that launched 5 or 6 years ago. The re:store is non ablative and is a multiple treatment regimen with a few days of redness and swelling following the treatment. The re:pair is a fractional CO2 laser. Being ablative it is much more aggressive. 1 or possibly 2 treatments are needed with each treatment having a week of downtime. You can visit our web site for more information.

Do either nonablative or ablative Fraxel laser procedures heal stretch marks? If so, to what extent can they be healed? I see that this procedure also treats numerous conditions. Could it treat keratosis pilaris permanently?

MisterBarryButters:
Both the fraxel re:store and re:pair are good for improving strech marks. I have seen about a 50 to 75% reduction in stretch marks after numerous fraxel treatments. I have not seen the fraxel laser permanently treat keratosis pilaris.

does the fraxel work on shoulders? does anything work on shoulders?
hamfish66 2 years ago
hamfish66:
The Fraxel laser can be used anywhere on the body as long as the proper adjustments are made with the settings. To answer whether the fraxel works on the shoulders or not is dependent on the medical condition being treated.

Hello Dr Gerrish,
I have read the info on your web site, I am considering this Fraxel restore treatmen for my acne scars , but I am using now Contractubex gel for some scars, Should I stop using it if I am under laser treatment ?

anamenfalastin:
I have not treated any patients who were concomitantly using Contractubex. My advice would be to discontinue its use until you have completed your fraxel laser series.
