Song written and played on steel resonator guitar, single cone.

LYRICS:

Washed up, tongue tied and lazy...
I can hear that voice inside me
I can finally disagree
I wonder if I'm finally burnt out?
After years and years of torment
It has finally come to this
Time to make that big decision
In the game of hit and miss
I won't respond at your insistence...

Haven't you had enough?
Isn't it time for a change?
Why don't you give me a break?
Isn't it time for a change?
I won't respond at your insistence...
Haven't you had enough?
Isn't it time for a change?
Giving in your time of need
Taking in your time of grief
I won't respond at your insistence...

I can hear that voice inside me
I can finally disagree
Come join me in isolation
I'll shut out this world around me
And if you're available
You can take that walk beside me
Open seas are sail-able
I won't respond at your insistence...

Haven't you had enough?
Isn't it time for a change?
Why don't you give me a break?
Isn't it time for a change?
I won't respond at your insistence...
Haven't you had enough?
Isn't it time for a change?
Giving in your time of need
Taking in your time of grief
I won't respond at your insistence...

  • Good stuff Larry, now you need to record some bottleneck stuff though.

  • Someone needs to teach me :) I can't get past the 'cats-screeching' phase with my slide playing. It'd be nice to be able to throw in a slide solo on certain songs.

  • Amazing sound ! Thanks for sharing ! Very original and refreshing use of the reso !

  • Thanks croc, more to come!

  • @Nealpaisley Wow, thanks Neil! I still catch your vids from time to time on IGS. Been working on some new material, I hope to be releasing some new videos soon.

  • Great job, Larry! Cool song, great sound, super tight performance! Plus you have an oven and beer bottle in the background.

  • Bob will teach you. Get his DVD's and you'll learn how to do slide clean.

  • Thanks Neal!

  • Thanks Angie :)

  • absolutely agree about the the great recording, such vibrant sound, lilting and dream like, rises and falls beautifully. Very enjoyable indeed, :)
