Palestine: Nation Building and Making Peace

Hanan Ashrawi is one of the world's most visible advocates for Palestinian rights.  She promotes global dialogue and democracy through articulate public appearances, diplomacy and her new organization, the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH).  Hanan Ashrawi gives the Inaugural Lecture of the UCSB Center for Middle East Studies.  She discusses the problems and challenges in finding a peaceful solution to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

shame on your U . I witnessed vividly all the seconds of suffering and humiliation from those racists occupation . They are the worst on earth . Once an a American journalist told me after standing three hours at a crossing point in Gaza , IF I WERE PALESTINIAN , I WOULD BE THE NEXT SUICIDE BOMBER . This is what he felt , although he lived minutes not years , or decades . Our story is completely different from the world . She is saying just the truth not like ur president  . just lies
