When I was about ten growing up in Sai Gon, Viet Nam, I learned how to do paper folding from the neighborhood friends. We were very poor, but we were very good at making our own toys using mostly recycled homework paper or newspapers. The most popular folds that we liked were: a fan, various boat folds, gliders, birds, balloon, fortune teller and airplane. One day, an older neighborhood boy gave me a beautiful airplane and I was intrigued. I wanted badly how to fold this airplane that I followed and begged him like a puppy begged for a bone, but he refused. It was his secret, but I kept on insisting and he finally gave me a hint: "It similar to the bird fold." I went home and unfolded the airplane that he gave me step by step, and I learned the fold myself. I showed him the finished product and was very proud of myself. I don't remember his name or what he looked like, but every time I fold this airplane I remember my childhood and think of this boy. So here's to you - my friend, wherever you are for giving me the wonderful and beautiful airplane and invoked in me the curiosity of how to fold it.
does it fly?

No, it's not a glider. If you're interested in making a glider, please check out other sites.
