This Song is about being unique, and oposing to the goverment... When everyone does the same because "Its just the way it is" then we are robots... not about cheaply built houses ;p The houses are just a methaphor for being all the same and robotic.

this song isn't about "dissing" suburban life. It was written about cheaply built houses in levittown that had no uniqueness to them. Its a part of american history.... meaning it is what it is & its not subjective.
