@fosheimdet If there is 1 mol of a substance you could not find an infinite number of molecules, since 1 mol is 6.022*10^23 molecule /mol. you could find an infinte amount of reaction forward and backward if you had the right temp pressure and time.

so that means that if the concentration of a substance is 1mole/liter, the chance of finding infinite molecules of that substance in one liter is: (1mole/liter)^infinity=1
that doesn't seem to make much sense...

If theres a Reaction: (you may take any co-efficients):
3A + 2B turning into 3C (and vice versa); having equi. constant as [C]^3/[A^3]*[B]^2
Then...
if you go reverse or reciprocal it, that is- [A]^3*[B]^2/[C]^3
then you'll get equi constant for the reaction:
3C turning into 3A + 2B (and vice versa)
Its nothing "sacred" that its :forbidden" to reciprocal it.... its just what you expect to get.... the constant for reverse order.

not only how the equilibrium... but the rate constant and the entire "law of mass action" (of which none knows anything about, than just plugging the numbers.... except a very few, ofcourse I mean those who have seen this video...)... was also created from the very same logic!
I cant believe such a powerful discovery was lost, and not even any of the internet had 'any' information of how it was derived!
And now we see it being "re"-discovered from the "scratch"....
I say you should be in NASA!

Wow, Sal after all these years I now see how rate and equilibrium are related! It just was taught together assuming they were ralated. Way to put things in perspective. This is WONDERFUL!
