Mà á túbò múra kọ́ Yorùbá nítorí èdè Yorùbá dùn púpọ̀ láti kọ́. Ìgbà yí mo fé àṣewò Yorùbá mi ni.

Knockin rust off my use of Yoruba hoping to meet native Yoruba speakers here for more practice in order to improve.

  • Real recognise real...nothing do you my guy..hold on to your roots my brother...speak your yoruba make them fear you for america...dem mama, who dem be?...thats your original language...washere jo!....peace blood.

  • @adenola hahahahah! You're funny bro. Thanks for commenting here.

  • Languages are not that difficult to learn. You just need the right tools, and a lot of time to repeat, repeat, repeat.

An excellent free tool is VLC player. It allows you to repeat a selected part over and over.

Then find a friend that speaks your language, and also speaks the language you're learning. That way if you're stuck, he/she can help you out.

Finally, don't be ashamed to make mistakes. Let people laugh at you if they want to.

  • @324seun : Yes, Titi have upgraded to another level.....lol.. But if you watched her first video, she wasn't as fluent as she is right now. I guess Moses or Ekute (don't know why he wants to be called rat...lol) will speak fluently if he stays a whole year in Nigeria. I commend his efforts because he is learning by himself unlike Titi Cara who learned ifrom university of Wisconsin later went on work & learning programme in University of Ibadan and in Lagos. The difference is clear.

  • @omoibile Nooooooo, Titi is definately fluent in Yoruba(injile yoruba ni Titi un so)..BUT Moses is a man of many languages so I'm not mad at him..o gbiyan ju.....they both inspire me as a yoruba man to learn CHINESE and SPANISH

  • Yo Mo, My name is Moses and I am Nigerian-American. I admire what you are doing and want to let you know that it's beautiful to see someone use their gifts. keep it up bro and I am sure the people of Ilorin would love to have you.

  • This is how I sound speaking Yoruba. I feel so bad that I didn't hold on to it as I grew older.

  • Hey Moses, sorry I had to repost this comment because something went wrong. I was just wondering, have you ever looked into Igbo? The reason i am asking is because I speak igbo but I do not speak Yoruba, and both languages are spoken in Nigeria. Do you know if Yoruba and Igbo are similar to eachother? I know the alphabet is the exact same but could both languages be similar to eachother, or not really?
