I use Kaspersky on my system and never had any performance problems.
Make sure the "technology for active disinfection" (or whatever its called in english) is on as well as deallocate resources for other programs.
( I've got the german version so I can't tell you what it's called)
Its must be under Options the most right tab and compatibility.
With that it should run better.
If not:
Try to upgrade your system.

small memory usage and minimal impact on the system? my ass kaspersky may be super at protecting against viruses but its up there together with norton the hog when it comes to fucking up your computer it keeps scanning all the time and poking around your system and making your hard drive crunch like crazy and making your system freeze too it's always been like that I admit its the best at protecting but I do not want to sacrifice system performance especially when there are lighter solutions.

KIS2011 build 556 is simply the best security solution i have ever used by far.Runs great on Windows 7 os and multicore processors.Still trying to figure out why kaspersky america isn't fighting to have these key crack videos on here removed.Some people like myself pay a pretty penny for this software,and it's a disgrace that fools like these off to the right here get away with murder never having to pay a dime for anything.
