Ford vs Chevy tug of war with carnage

4x4 Blazer vs Bronco tug of war. The Blazer has a 350 with high compression etc, granny 4 speed, Detroit locked 14 bolt rear, and posi dana60 front, 4.56 geared, leaf sprung, sitting on 39.5" boggers. The Bronco has a 408 stroker, 9" rear with Detroit locker, open D44 TTB front, C6, 5.13 gears, sitting on 35" Dunlop mud rovers. we'll have a rematch in the mud next time it rains good. hopefully film it during the day (instead of with headlights)

the chevy needed a bigger driveshaft to handle the torque+traciton of 40" tires.

I love the old blazers, broncos and ramchargers. Power wise, the ford, chevy and dodge are very close when comparing their small blocks. It's just unfortunate the chevy small block isn't quite as durable as the others when left completely stock. The Ford undercarriage and drive train are very tough. The engines are also good under extreme abuse. The Chevy big block on the other hand is a different animal. The big block chevy is "one of" the best truck engines as far as durability and torque go.
