Preface
P You alone are indeed worthy of our praise, almighty Father, holy God. We will praise and bless you through Jesus Christ, our Lord. You raised him from the dead and brought us to new birth as a living hope. The old is gone, the new creation is redeemed, and in him new life has been revealed. Therefore the whole world is radiant in this paschal joy, therefore we sing your glory with all your faithful people, and proclaim your unending praise:
Sanctus
C Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of Sabaoth. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Eucharistic prayer B:
Blessed be you, Lord of heaven and earth you hold all creation in your love. We thank you for the gift of salvation that you have bestowed on us through Jesus Christ Prepare us by your Holy Spirit to receive him when he comes to us in his holy communion In the night that he was betrayed he took the bread and gave you thanks, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat. This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. He took the cup, gave you thanks and gave it to his disciples, saying: Drink ye all of this. This cup is the new covenant in my blood that is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. As often as you drink it, do this in remembrance of me. (C Christ has died O Lord, we proclaim your death Christ is risen we rejoice in your resurrection Christ will come again and we look for your coming in glory.) P Heavenly Father, grant us through this holy communion the blessed fruits of your Son's passion and death, his resurrection and ascension. Grant us life by his life, that he may remain in us and we in him. As we wait for his coming in glory, we pray the prayer that he himself has taught us:
Lord's prayer
Continuation of Eucharistic prayer:
P We break this bread to share in the body of Christ. C Though we are many, we are one body because we all share in one bread.
Pax
P The Peace of the Lord be with you.
Agnus Dei
C Lamb of God, you take away, the sin of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away, the sin of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away, the sin of the world, grant us peace.
"Jesus Christ" christ is not his last name, back then no one had last names example: you would call someone from those times john, son of abraham) indicating the father. christ is derived from greek"christos"-an anointing(a smearing of oil or parfume on the forehead as a way of sacrament) this is called a chrism> now put that in your pipe and smoke it!
