@JayBoogie950 yes, it is necessary. kickboxing is like riding a motorcycle: you have to use your whole body(you have to shift your bodyweight) or you will not have the right tecnique. In your first matches you can overlook it because your opponent is likely to do that to! if not, you're fucked....
Put your left leg forward then left jab right cross and then do a right kick in the groin lol. Even if you get jabbed during that cross they are gonna feel it lol.
The right kick has to be really close to the right cross so u can use ur body weight to right punch and then kick.

Very good technique i've used it before. the only problem i had was on the cross i got jabbed
