I took my daughter there. she's now 18 but it seemed we were going in a lot. how do i find out if they were needless procedures and why are they still open i wonder :( i just heard about this!!

@notobama I'm afraid this is something you will never know. As well as being one where you can assume the worst. Why they are still open, I have no idea. The original owners have been slapped for misbehavior many many times over the years. Oh, and the DeRose's are still heavily involved, whether they admit it or not! They still pay the dentists out of the DeRose Dental account. And if you check to see who owns the LLC's they go under you'll find the Derose name all over it.

i went here and im 16, this dumb old whore kept making me bleed all over the place and when i jerked she would say shit like "dont move , maybe if you cleaned more often this wouldnt happen" umm bitch maybe i should stab you in your fuckin gums and see if you dont jerk your damn self.... its pititful and on top of that they did all the wrong shit to my teeth and now im paying for it

Small Smiles sucks ass. I went there once and was in pain for days after a cleaning. Changed dentists and was introduced to what Dentistry SHOULD be!

First off, let’s get a few things straight here.

Pediatric dentists are the BIGGEST users of papoose boards. For the pediatric dentist in this video to suggest that he has some sort of special skillset to “allay the fears” of children is simply a lie.

There is a problem within the dental profession with lack of access to anesthesia. I find this to be absolutely embarrassing, since dentistry more than any other area of health care needs anesthesia services.

You do realise that many parents, especially in America simply cannot afford dental care? And even if it is the parents fault, it ISN'T the kids and the dentists should try to cause as little pain as possible when fixing the kids teeth.

Who is HORRIBLE? The dentist who provides the treatment? Or the parent who neglects the oral health of their children that it reached this point???!!!

Talk to your dentist, try to be allowed into the treatment room, ask about the dentists' qualifications and experiences, when your child is sedated and placed on the board, make sure the position is proper for airway/breathing. If you have a couple extra hundred dollars and want to avoid the papoose board, then just go for sedation or pharmacological restraint.
