Here is some footage of the 2010 ProAm held at the USA Shooting Academy in Tulsa Oklahoma.

I tried something different by adding some audio descriptions to help explain what you are seeing. The audio kinda sucks but this is the best I could figure out. Thanks to CompetitionDVD for filming and to Dawson Precision for tuning my magazines before the match.

If you are watching this from a mobile device and not a PC, you might not be able to see the annotations super imposed on the video.

Some stages are not shown since we did not film them all. This event will be televised at a later date on Shooting USA.

  • What's the best way to start in this, and what's the best priced but usable starting gun, in your opinion? I've just ordered Brian Enos practical shooting. I have an FNP tactical 45, but I don't think it's legal for one or practical for the other. I was considering the EAA Witness Stock. Thx.

  • @snappydoodad On choosing a gun you need to figure out what Division you want to shoot in. There is Production, Limited, Limited 10, Single Stack, Revolver and Open. In a couple of cases one gun will work across a couple divisions but not all. Ideally you would have 1 gun for each. But most likely that is not feasible. So I suggest starting with a Glock or some other reasonably priced gun with high cap mags.

  • nice fast an accurate shooting but whats up with your gun/ammo? so many malfunctions isnt very helpfull

  • @Maecky I don't believe there was many malfunctions (maybe 1). The rules of this game only allowed you to have 10 rounds in the magazines. So I have to reload constantly.

  • i typed in speed shooting and a meth video popped up what has this world come to?

  • @PistolGripPump12ga Maybe it thought you meant "shooting speed"

  • @008devlin Nice to know that. From looking at your recent activity and all you gun videos you watched... makes sense.

  • @008devlin burn!

  • @junpower010 Its tons of fun. Except it ruins you for the stand and shoot public ranges. That kind of shooting becomes pretty boring once you've done the dynamic style.
