  • Nice set up! Care to explain how you made it? I have a general idea of making a manual 1 with a hydraulic jack.

  • A hydraulic bottle jack would work if you rigged it verticle rather than horrizontal. Most won't work on their sides. Sure would be a lot of pumping and hard work, but still better than trying to do it with an ax.

    This is nothing more than an I-Beam with a two-way hydraulic cylinder attached. The splitter part slides along the I-Beam and crushes the wood up against a fixed wedge. The cylinder gets its hydraulics from the old tractor which has quick-connects for farming equipment.
