maybe your vga fx5500 is inconsistent. searches for new drivers for your vga. currently use socket 754 Sempron 2600 and now on 1gb ram ddr 400 kingston PC3200! Also HD2600Pro 512 mb ati agp 8X. soundblaster live 5.1. the game works fine!

look up information and said that even with the vga ati radeon 9800 series has problems with this game! I ran the game at 1024x768 resolution ..
