This interview was done in a hotel room in Amsterdam, Holland, by REVU magazine on October 20th, 2006. The interviewer is Guuz Hoogaerts.
I've done my best to translate his questions from Dutch to English:
Question from REVU:
On your new album you covered "Bold as Love" by Jimi Hendrix, why not "Little Wing"? Is it your favorite Hendrix tune?
REVU: You have a hit with "Waiting on the World to Change", is it an anthem for your generation?
REVU: In "Gravity" you sing, "Gravity wants to bring me down". John, are you burdened by gravity?
REVU: Your new album 'Continuum' has a more soulful sound than your past records, why is that?
(John sings a few bars of "Happy to be Stuck with You" by Huey Lewis & The News...)
Revu: That sounds great John! Now, just one more question. How about you and Jessica Simpson?
REVU, or Revue, is a magazine that focuses on news, sports, journalism research, entertainment, crime, sex and social reports. The magazine reports what is going on in the world and describes it is in a way that can only be described as: cheeky, honest and often controversial.
@corbettwalshmusic I agree, it was pretty much ruined by the last question. You can see how uncomfortable he gets with the invasion of his privacy. It's a shame really, it was such a good interview up until that point.
