Camels is very very expensive animals you know

could do a lot more to deal with their massive population of stray cats though.

Thats not totally fair. Arabs adore Salukis and their racing camels. The UAE and Qatar

UAE street cats have tthe official title of Arabian Mau. A newly discovered breed. Google it. I rescued a tiny starving kitten from sharjah that was beingabuse. We thought he was dead. As soon as I could I took him to Canada and I can't wait to be reunited with him. He is ginger. Some fairy tales do come true.

OMG! I had a really similar problem! I tried to adopt a kitty out to a Jordanian guy who "Gave the cat to his sister" but I found it back on the street 3 days later!

A woman I met (country forgotten) had a cat and When she returned she simply put the cat down, knowing how tough it is for cats there. To bring it here was too expensive or against the law.
And I spent $400 trying to save my Blue Boy till it was clear nothing could be done.
My neighbor spent three grand on one cat and put a five-grand deposit on another. We just love our cats. I don't love ALL cats, just those who have become my friends. Laugh if you want, they are as children to me.

These "religious" people don't give a damn about animals,I lived in the UAE for 5 years and the neglect and cruelty I witnessed was appalling. Helen Mcqueen
poor thing
wondering if he/she will ever go home.
I hope you make a new home for him/her
It's too bad that the previous owners are not aware of how their cat is doing. Losing a pet is so sad.

This is the Middle East. Most of the cats there never have a home. They are strays that live off the trash that people throw into the dumpsters.

I don't know. I had to leave here in the UAE. An Arab family took her in and after a few days they "lost the cat."
