Yep eats apex seals all the time. I've put over 520000 miles between 3 rx7s and have never replaced apex seals.... thank you try again.

@pdpdrummerboi Heck I'll take a 240, datzun, or rx-7 with a ls1 or any rotory junk motor. That go through apex seals all the time. When I worked for John Holtz mazda the cars that always were in for service were the the rx-8's. Rx-7's would also come in for service but due to their rarity you did not see them all the time, but def. the rx-8's. I'd take a mazda speed 3 over rx-8. But back to the subject. The only way to make a lightweight torque monster with balance, put a ls1 in.

@pdpdrummerboi Thats funny , because the 2013 Shelby is a 650hp 200mph beast that qil run mid to low 11's with 3.31 gears. One gear change to 4.10's and it in the tens. I think that can more than just touch a zr1. And by the way, a real motor requires more than one person to lift it. On another note if your tuner knows what he's doing when installing the ls1 into the rx-7, you can install the motor and still retain the 50/50 weight distribution. I'll take rx-7 over any 13b anyday

@kylealovejoy Well, not even the shelby 500 stang touches the ZR1. And for that particular block its not even stock. Same thing goes for the GTR. Now if you go to a REAL rotary engine lover offering a LSx powered RX7 they would damn near die. I can easily pick up a 12a-13b engine by myself with no problems. You cant do that with a LSx anything. You snap your spine. So until people recognize that the LSx motors are heavier than the 13b they will still fall for that lie.

@pdpdrummerboi Look what chevy did with the money. They now have the camaro and the zr1 and are now not only are they did they pay the money back, but they are now on top of companies like....honda, subaru, and mitsu. Show me a stock import that can beat a zr1 and go and get groceries. The only thing close is a GTR. No other import even comes close to 205mph on the top end stock. The on rx-7 that are fast and worth something are the ones with a ls1 in them. torque and lightweight

@kylealovejoy Obviously no one would buy a performance car for gas mileage. But if "Horsepower sells cars" then why did GM of all car companys need help to keep from collapsing recently? Mazda didnt cry for help. Neither did nissan, Honda, Subaru Or Mitsubishi. And if Torque wins races then why is it that little honda hatches murdering Muscle?! Rotaries running 6 sec passes and lasting many more passes. And the Muscle car came off the line spinning, The 7 was grab and go. Cheers,
-
@pdpdrummerboi mm. from what i saw the mustang was winning the race before it lost traction. And who buys a performance car for mpg? And no, muscle has and will always dominate imports and have been doing it for a long time. You know why? Peep the motto: "Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins rsces." Nuff Said.
-
Ive seen alot of mustangs slid to the right and hit the wall whats up with that?
-
haha they were in a serious argument over mpg im embarrassed for them
For all the muscle bound dick heads, IMPORTS are the muscle cars of today. We have been around for less the time that you have and we are whooping your arses way worse than you will ever do us. Whether its honda, mazda, mitsubishi, nissan, subaru, acura or toyota we all are here for the same cause. To dominate muscle cars and look nice doing it. While your busy getting 2-5 mpg and have to be trailered to the track, WE drive to the track, race and drive that same car home. IMPORTS FTMFW wankers!!
