hey i loved this fight...i was there and i wasnt far from the camera...i was wondering why they didnt do it this year....thanks again for posting

@billace90 its an M4a4 sherman with a french 76mm high power main gun. it is also fitted with a fire simulator that runs on propane. I was one of the American forces at this event and my unit was set up next to the tankers.

What tank is that? It looks like a modified Sherman.

ahh ok.

lol wow you guys had a tiger!? here where i live theyve got a M3 Halftrack, a willys jeep or two, a german recon bike and stuff like that. its pretty cool but a sherman would be awesome! they also have full size replica spitfires, P51's and a corsair that all fly! they never fire the 50 cals on the vehicles though, they keep the vehicles behind the infantry and they hardly move lol =[ but yeah the allies always win probly cause the people would think the organisers suppirt the nazis lol

The only time we ever won was in Rockome Indiana .
Two battles and we took them both . But then again we also had a tiger with us =)
I'm not being political but people tend to forget the german army was at the time the best in the world .

@2ndpanzergrenadier That was just a skirmish. The whole re-enactment was about 20 minutes long but unfortunately the memory card on my camera was full.

i can understand your frustration. however, it was brutally hot out last weekend, over 94 degrees. heat stroke was a very real danger, especially with all that gear. the guys did a great job considering the conditions.

You guys put on quite a spectacular show! Does your unit have a website? I'd love to learn more about the reenactment community.
