I see you barely started listening to jazz. NO! The Monk man was exclusively known for this style. Listen to other great's and you'll see.

Relegated by racism in its home land, the American musical art form of Jazz has been more profoundly appreciated by other nationalities than that of our own. With that said, a massive chunk of our population that spanned generations, simply missed the boat in understanding it's creative genius and sound. The Baroness did not. I respect her immensely for bolstering the confidence of the Founding Fathers of Be Bop. They healed souls with their sounds. Her kids were well cared for I'm sure.

I bet you think 2:12-17 was also an accident. He does that intentionally and its one of the most beautiful things I hear.

Conversely, if a pianist HAD made a flaw while playing, a Jazz audience would be more forgiving of it than the audience of a pianist playing classical. And that was the only point I was making.

just because something sounds wrong to your ears doesn't mean it is a flaw.

"Her kids were well cared for I'm sure." What makes you "so sure"? She basically ditched her family to become a groupee. That she left IS fact. No one can know how it affected her kids. But, given how 'trivial' growing up with a mother is (I mean who really needs a mom once you're out of the womb, right?) - I'm "sure" they were just fine.
