@drummerman1595 no the padding is ther cause you will DIE if u dont wear it:FACT. also most players wear one helmet and one set of shoulder pads.even in rugby players are beginning to use shoulder pads and they where helmets.obviously just not to the same extent.Dont talk about someting u obviously no nothin about ive played rugby for years nd also play american football in fact most people who play it in Europe also play rugby.and just cause some1s big doesnt mean they can hit hard(John Hayes)

@MrCiaran91 There's this thing in the English language called "Exaggeration", but the message is there. The padding is there because American Football players are soft. Also, yes I have never been tackeled with AF pads on, but I have been tackeled by guys, some who are as big as the guys on the D-line, WITHOUT pads. See how you would go champ.

@drummerman1595 would you like to test that theory you dumb fuck lol

"in gridiron when you get tackled, you don't feel a thing" anybody who says or believes this has NEVER been tackled wearing AF pads

All those commenters slagging off rugby can shut up. I invented the game back in 1982, when I picked up the ball & ran with it during a school football match. The idea caught on & I drafted the official rules shortly afterwards.
I also came up with many of the amusing after-game high-jinks so beloved of players today. Running the length of the pitch with a lit newspaper up my anus, drinking a pint of my own vomit & the maxim “what goes on tour, stays on tour”- all my own inventions.

@drummerman1595 You've clearly never played football before bud!! Rugby is an awesome sport, but to say the hits don't huert in football is not only ignorant but stupid. Concussions, broken bones, torn muscles, torn ligaments and tendons. All very common injuries on the gridiron. And it's only one layer of pads...
anyone noticed there is no 0:02

@MissEgasMoniz Actually, Gridiron may look tougher, but they have about 10 layers of padding to protect themselves. In rugby when you get tackled, it hurts. In Gridiron when you get tackled, you don't feel a thing.
