A baby bird and Jose's beer

A baby bird has apparently fallen onto a tree stump in our backyard and cannot fly to safety or to it's home. I fed it and (after the video was shot) at night I made a bed for it in a basket, covered it with a sheet and put it up high where I knew the cats couldn't get to it. The next morning I put the basket up on the wall where his parents would sometimes land to check on him. He hopped out and made his way slowly toward a tree but I don't know what happened to him in the end. I think either a cat got him or he fell off into the neighbor's backyard. I wasn't home when it happened.
Also, my husband talks about how he likes beer. Thanks Hunny!

I'm sure when you weren't around the parents were feeding the bird. The reason the parents are squawking at you because they want to get their baby. This is the appropriate age for birds to be jumping out of their nests. I'm sure when you put the bird in the basket it was being taken care of by its parents. Nature is funny like that.
