christopher Columbus wasn't bringing christian faith when he "discovered america" he brought terrorism and disease. christopher Columbus is to the natives of america what Osama bin laden is to many americans. christianity was forced upon the native americans and most of them were KILLED in the process. so dont give me this crap about liberal atheist murderers. the founding fathers were not christian.

You appear to have found a good one here.
While your past record won't allow me to concede this point, I will thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn something new.
-I'll probably be back, I always am.

Ok, I think we're on to something. You believe this document was drastically changed after only 1 translation. (I don't know, I'm checking the resources)
Now, think about the number of times the bible has been translated. (We won't even begin to talk about how it was copied by hand)

"Experience witnesseth that ecclesiastical establishments, instead of maintaining the purity and efficacy of religion, have had a contrary operation. During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution." - James Madison "A Memorial and Remonstrance", 1785
"the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."
John Adams - Treaty of Tripoli
America respects the rights of all religions, but is not founded on any of them.

According to Hunter Millers notes, "the Barlow translation is at best a poor attempt at a paraphrase or summary of the sense of the Arabic" and "Article 11... does not exist at all."
The Treaty of Tripoli was written in Arabic and John Adams did not make this statement.
America respects the rights of all people and we are tolerant, however this is one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of Mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent, our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.... From the discovery of this continent to the present hour, . .we find everywhere a clear recognition of the same truth . . . this is a Christian nation.
U.S. Supreme Court, Trinity decision, 1892, unanimous vote.
