Action Essentials 2 gun

This is a quick test... a really quick test
So I'm really sorry for the shortness of this video guys

Videocopilots action essentials 2 can also be used to create some pretty over the top movie posters

It's not my own footage, I got the footage from the DV Rebels guide.. great book (DVD included)

I will post another MUCH longer clip but I thought there was a lot of Andrew Kramer tutorial type muzzle flashes out there so thought I would try and inspire a few people

The bullet casings fly through Z space, which I thought was pretty cool.
Again very easy to create, action essentials 2 is hands down THE best kit I've ever used and bought for after effects (including plug-ins) and I have bought a few plug-ins for hundreds of pounds

I used Magic Bullet look suite for the diffusion.. I think it's diffusion
and Magic Bullet colorista for the colours that didn't turn out so well because the footage is very... you know.. duotone

Why did you play the video over and over again?

@schank111222 2 reasons, main one being that nobody enjoys watching a 3 second video..

2nd reason is that they're all layered differently.. it's like a progression of VFX from basic to finished

@theaftereffectsguy I would always have the camera moving for these kind of thing, never a static tripod shot.. It would ruin the effect.

If the cameras moving and you get the movement of the bullet casings right + good motion blur it should pass for realistic or at least semi realistic

The Glock 18 is notorious for it's fully automatic features. Many guns can be modified from full auto, including a SMG/Handgun into burst.
