If I remember correctly, softball stage is when you can take a small amount of it from the pan and put it into a cup of water for a few seconds, then you take it out and you should be able to roll it into a ball.

I tried to make a batch last night and it was awful. So this morning I found your video and I will try again. I stirred constantly while it was coming to a boil, maybe I am not supposed to do that. Also once it boiled I pulled it off the heat and threw in the chips..it turned weird and chunky and chalky. I think I will try it again..Wish me luck!

@Phoenixfeather18 no problem haha...actually tried making a batch last night...came out perfect, well woulda been perfect but it was kinda grainy >_< haha
