Oh Danny... You aren't going to win any favors with comments like that. You want people to believe that you LIKE comics ( it looked like you didn't even know Dave Gibbons name-- ouch! ).
Comment on the old n' bold colouring of the book instead.

George should have flipped the table, Dan spoke ill of Gibbons
He must repent or something

@StickyMrfingaz No, I mean, I read "one issue", LOL. It was #9.
-
@ComicBookSyndicate what was the issue you had with it ? 0_+
-
@ComicBookSyndicate yeah I been waiting for years for more fell, it one of my faves too,I got the first and only volume.apparently the delay was due to Ellis loosing his notes from a computer crash or something like that.I am going to UK comic con this year dressed as a bunny ,monkey or a pig but I haven't decided yet and I will get me book signed and maybe ask when more fell is coming out.0_+
-
@StickyMrfingaz Yes, but only one issue. But its enough to declare it is a masterpiece!
-
@coydog0 hey have you read fell by warren ellis ?0_+

I think Robertson is a great artist, but I prefer his later work on Wolverine and The Boys!

@coydog0 Darick Robertson did a lot of work for Marvel before he did Transmet. He was trying to break from the confined boundaries of drawing for a franchise he didn't own. In many ways he was his own boss for Transmet and didn't want to maintain the clean cut format he was used to doing. He also had to do way more work within much shorter deadlines. Personally I think the artwork is brilliant. There is something deeper happening than what you see on the surface and that speaks volumes.

i would just like to point out that transmet is so completley unlike any other comic ever published if you have not read this work of pure genius that you should imediatley go and purchase a copy the luungwadge will shock and astound you,and the story will make you think in new deviant ways.and as such i feel that the guys there rather sold the book short perhaps out of a lack of understanding warren ellis is the most gifted and more importantley unorthadox writer working in comics today

Warren Ellis is an excellent writer, and one of the finest of the past 20 years. I think 'The Authority' is as important to supehero comics as 'Never the Bullocks' was to rock music. I'll definitely give the rest of the series a chance.

It is the best comic i ever read. 2nd is watchmen, but i agree with the fella saying that the art WORK, not the art DIRECTION, is a bit stiff. but so were all comics at the time
nightseifer 2 years ago
I would say that stiff artwork was a rarity at the time. Marvel artists were still using the Jack Kirby 'house style' (employed by Gil Kane, John Buscema, Sal Buscema etc.), and the Michael Golden style was being imitated by Art Adams. I think the stiffer, more reserved art of Dave Gibbons was reflective of his British background (also see: Steve Dillon).

No news yet, and in this case i don't think "no news=good news" applies.
But, we'll keep our fingers crossed :)
