This is Bob Hite who worked as a CBS radio and television announcer and anchor from 1944 through 1979. He was also one of the early Lone Ranger radio narrators at WXYZ Detroit before coming to CBS. He also did narrations for The Shadow, The Green Hornet and Yukon Challenge and others.

CBS PRESENTS THIS PROGRAM IN COLOR!

Whenever I hear this I am always reminded of radio. Being a child from the 50s, I remember most of the tv program announcers were former radio men.
For those remarking about this not being in color, kinescopes were used in preproduction for the most part and were actually a film camera recording off of a tv monitor, so no need for expensive color film. Luckily, many programs were filmed in their entirety. Remember this was either before videotape or it's widespread use.

The Announcer for this "in-color" presentation was Bob Hite (Sr.), radio and television announcer and anchor for CBS from 1944-1979. Before coming to CBS, Hite was the radio narrator of the Lone Ranger, Green Hornet, The Shadow, Yukon Challange and more at WXYZ Detroit.
