OSCAR DIAZ COLLAPSES IN THE RING 16 JULY 2008

I remember watching this fight also. It started off competitive, but Rodriguez had finally taken control and it was evident that Diaz was falling behind on the cards and probably needed a KO, which no longer seemed likely against a bigger and stronger opponent. He was taking a lot of jarring shots, due to Rodriguez's size and leverage. Once Diaz collapsed in the corner, I think everyone watching knew it was a very serious issue. Thankfully, he survived. You got a lot of heart Diaz!

im glad to hear oscar is doing better, but i remember watching this fight and not really thinking the punishment diaz was taking was out of the ordinary, but everyones different and im glad the medical staff was prompt and ready in the case of an emergency.

RODRIGUEZ hits very hard,he won yesterday vs ALVAREZ a close fight,damn with his right broken he put ALVAREZ KD in 11th round with a straight right,the crowd explosed.DIAZ is a tremendous warrior,i hope he feels better and better every day.

No boxer deserves to go through what Diaz went through.

wow two months in coma and finally wakes up. That is amazing! That is the hand of God showing us it's might. Oscar, you are now a living testimony. Hope you rehab back into your normal self again. God Bless.

So freaky. Diaz is up and awake now, they said he can sit up and respond. 7 months in a coma..
