Amazing and liberating message! The church I used to attend was very much into "tithing", they said we had to "test GOD" and give 1/10th of what we earned to be blessed, misquoting Malachie. Most attendants felt "forced" to tithe otherwise we were told we were "using God", that message didn't sit well with me....my salvation was questionned when I stopped giving money...God showed me exactly what was wrong with that church and I became closer to Him AFTER leaving it. Exactly. Why are we trying to bring something back(tithing) that God has abolished. Tithing was never to be paid in money, and none of us are Isrealites, who by the way do not pay Tithing anymore, because they know this.
It's time we put an end to these scam artists and pulpit pimps who demand we fill their pockets with money. Thank you for your word.
