Manly Palmer Hall (March 18, 1901 - August 29, 1990) was a Canadian-born author and mystic. He is perhaps most famous for his work The Secret Teachings of All Ages: An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy, published in 1928[1] [2] when he was 27 years old.

He was made a knight patron of the Masonic Research Group of San Francisco in 1953, although he was not raised until 22 November 1954 into Jewel Lodge No. 374 , San Francisco. He later received his 32° in the Valley of San Francisco AASR (SJ).[3] In 1973 (47 years after writing The Secret Teachings of All Ages), Hall was recognized as a 33º Mason (the highest honor conferred by the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite), at a ceremony held at PRS on December 8,[4][5]).

In his over 70-year career, Hall delivered approximately 8,000 lectures in the United States and abroad, authored over 150 books and essays, and wrote countless magazine articles

  • Saying all masons are bad is like saying all christians are bad because hitler was one, i mean come on, there is good and bad in everything.

  • I agree, most Freemasons are without a doubt, good people. Otherwise their organization would not stand.

  • Even blaming the president is like yelling at a puppet for the way it sings.

  • Manly P. Hall had one of the most brilliant minds ever!

  • @thetrismegistusone i agree.. (for now)

  • I respect Manly p hall, but it is a fact that egypt was invaded and absorbed by greece. Maybe I am miss understanding or had selective thinking but, Thoth was before Hermes and if you accept the legend of Hermes you have to accept the legend of Thoth. Thare may well have been a lot of Toths, but thwrw was still an original. There may have been many Hermes as well, but it is accepted that an original existed. Toth came before Hermes but, Hermetism is the known science...hummm...

  • @NearXLifeXExperience Humans tend to generalise everything. We can all poses the powers that Jesus did, but it is not easy to find it. Most humans are not ready for this and there for it isn't meant for just any one. Most of us would use it for the power of destruction anyway.

  • .....

  • this picture of him is so strange..the other pictures are too..it fits with his personality..mistic..wise..with his understandings coming from deep knowledge..at least this is how he appears to me.

  • Thanks for sharing this! From what I hear of Manly P. Hall he sounds like a brilliant man.

  • @MagykZan Lol, nice to see other people have a little depth of vision, and dont fall into delusions of aperception...and see things as they are, Peace!
