MARCY DeGONGE MANFREDI sings "SOMEONE IN LOVE" by Walter Willison & John Kroner

Marcy DeGonge Manfredi sings "Someone in Love" as Mary Hatch [the Donna Reed role in the film classic] in "WONDERFUL LIFE!": The Musical In Concert with lyrics by Walter Willison, music by John Kroner, and book by Douglas Holmes, a presentation for the "Composers Songbook" Concert Series at New York's Donnell Library in 1991. At the time, Ms. DeGonge-Manfredi was making her Broadway debut playing multiple feline roles in the long-running musical hit "CATS" [her favorite being The Opera Cat] and would soon follow with a stint in another long-running Broadway classic, Hal Prince's "Phantom of the Opera," in which she subsequently stepped into the role of another Opera Diva, Carlotta [the role originated by the great Judy Kaye]. Based on the screenplay for Frank Capra's immortal film, "It's a Wonderful Life", "WONDERFUL LIFE!": The Musical was commissioned by Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis, in 1989, where the show played an extended run and became the highest grossing production in that theatre's history, returning for bi-annually productions. Over the past twenty years, the show has continued to break box office records in productions at various regional and dinner theatres around the United States and in Canada. Accompanying Ms. DeGonge Manfredi is composer John Kroner. Mr. Kroner's other musicals include "AN ELEPHANT NEVER FORGETS [AN EVENING OF TRUNK SONGS]" [L.A. Weekly Theatre Award for Best Music], "THE SHOWGIRL OF 52nd STREET," "RABBIT SENSE," "TAPESTRY: THE MUSIC OF CAROLE KING" [Producer], he conducted "THE LAST SESSION" and "LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS" Off-Broadway and produced "Easter at the White House" for eight years for President and Mrs. Clinton. Lyricist Walter Willison is a Tony Award nominee and Theatre World Award winner for Richard Rodgers, Martin Charnin & Peter Stone's "TWO BY TWO" and has also starred on Broadway in "GRAND HOTEL," "PIPPIN," "NORMAN, IS THAT YOU?," "WILD AND WONDERFUL," Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Schwartz' "MASS" at The Kennedy Center, "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" at Madison Square Garden, the title role in Robert Wright & George Forrest's "KEAN" Off-Broadway, and has written books for musicals including the revisal of Frank Loesser's "GREENWILLOW": The Musical Folktale and and P. G. Wodehouse's "BETTING ON BERTIE"" The Original Jeeves Musical, both co-authored with Douglas Holmes. As an actor, Mr. Holmes appeared Off-Broadway in Wright & Forrest's "KEAN," "MINNIE'S BOYS": The Marx Brothers Musical In Concert and "TWO BY TWO": The Richard Rodgers Centennial Concert for JRT.
