Finally finished my Saiga 7.62x39 conversion. It now resembles the Russian AK-103. I added a new threaded front sight block and a 7.62 AK-74 type break.

  • Are you using standard AK-47 magazines? How could I get a Saiga accept AK mags?

  • @TheMangione91 You have to file down the magazine catch.

  • Do u like this gun???i was thinkin about this for xmas

  • @GIWolfGI Yes.

  • once you start changing parts you have to make sure to get the weapon 922r compliant.the law states that when you change any parts on the list that you can then have no more than 10 imported parts from the list still in the weapon.

  • @turboboy0 Yes I know. the gun is 922r compliant.

  • How's the barrel shake? watch?v=G6BpI3xD6h0

  • @Shellshock1918 I may have misspoken, I did not mean they where miltiary AK's that where then converted, what i was trying to say is that the Izhmash would be fully comftroble adding an auto trigger group and pistol grip to their Saigas and giving them to Russian soldiers, because it would then be the same exact thing. Just bragging about how wonderfull i think these AK's are. Costs less, higher accuracy, military grade, coming from a company that has made rifles for Russia since 1807.

  • @Southern661

Yes but they aren't military AKs converted to civilian use. They are built from the ground up to be commercial, just with a military (minus cut outs for full auto hardware) receiver.

  • @Shellshock1918 They are made off the same exact machinery as the Russian military AK's, but instead of adding a pistol grip and full auto trigger group, they are butchered and sent to the U.S.. Apart from the identification ring inside the chamber, it is exactly the same in regards to the parts they have in common.
