The Secret Life Of Army Wives (A Jonas Brothers Love Story) Episode 1

Joe was running his thumb across her picture,thinking about that last kiss he'd given her, and the night they'd shared before he left, not paying attention to the raging war around him. Suddenly, not even a whole yard from him, a bomb went off, sending shards of glass and metal to rain everyhwere around him. He ducked into a ditch and covered his unprotected head until the raining metal ceased. He opened his fist and looked at her picture again.

Joe: Im gonna make it through this baby, for you
Lieutenant: For God sake Joseph put your helmet on, do you want to lose your head
Joe: N-no sir (strapping his helmet on)
Lieutenant: (seeing the picture of Jen in Joe's hand) You cant think about her right now, she should be the last thing on your mind
Joe: She's not, and she never will be, she's my wife
Lieutenant: And she almost caused you to get hurt, now put the picture away before I take it
Joe: Yes sir (getting his wallet out of his pocket and sliding the picture back into place) I love you Jen, and Im coming home for you soon, I promise (sliding the wallet back into his pocket)

**With Jen**

She had just gotten home and was still not used to coming home to an empty house. Joe had been gone for 3 months. And in those 3 months, he'd called a total of...once.

Jen's POV

Ive been fairly fine without him here. I mean, its not easy but, Im handling it better than I thought I would thats for sure. Ive been watching the news alot more since he left. More men are dying over there than I thought. And I keep praying that I wont get a letter saying that my husband was one of them. So far, I havent. I keep watching these war movies where the woman's husband comes back from war and they're reunited and they're all so happy. I hope to God thats how mine turns out. Im not gonna wish that he wouldnt have a scratch on him, that would be alittle too much to ask. Mostly because he's clumsy to begin with, a little scratch wont concern me. But what if he never comes back!?!?! Jen dont tell yourself that! He's coming back, I know he is. He has a reason to come back now. Because Im carrying his son......and his daughter. I just found out the week after he left that Im having twins. Great, my husband knocks me up and then leaves for war. So maybe doing it with Joe the night before he left wasnt such a great idea, but what if he never came back, then what? We'd done it once before on our honeymoon, but I hadnt gotten pregnant. But this time, I did, and with twins! I broke down and cried. Not only had I never been pregnant before, but the father of my babies was fighting for their lives in the war, along with his brothers Nick and Kevin. Both of them were happily married to the women of their dreams. Kevin and Danielle have a beautiful daughter, and Nick and Sarah are execpting a baby girl. Sarah's due any day, she'd gotten pregnant before Nick was called to leave. Kevin and Dani's little girl is about 4 years old, and she's the most beautiful little brunette you ever saw. And boy does she love her daddy. It broke Kevin's heart when he had to leave. Cailey couldnt bear to see her daddy being shipped away, and clung to his leg, begging him not leave. Now here we all are, counting down the days until Christmas, when our husbands are coming home for a couple weeks. Or so we hope.
