It depresses me that lots of people only see a Valley accent and whipped cream bra when they look at this girl.

Musically she's really quite talented and she does know her stuff (especially for a popstar) and style-wise she is one of the most original popstars to come out in a long time, it just took people a while to notice her somewhat un-conventional style and by the time people actually noticed, Lady Gaga was famous and everyone decided Perry was copying her.

Just fucking depressing.

And I went to the CDT, it was even more brilliant than I thought it would be, almost pissed myself with excitement, she sounded brilliant the entire night, and she knows exactly how to entertain and get a crowd going, she made people in the crowd who didn't even like her enjoy the show, and it just made me think even more that she is so much more talented than people think. She's the only popstar I really like.
