Tusked !!

CAUTION: SHOWS BLOOD, NEEDLES & SUTURES !! A male pig (boar) tusked me and cut my knee. I repaired the wound myself with sutures. If I'd have gone to the hospital, I'm sure the E.R. visit alone would have cost me $500! I'm not implying that you should always take care of such matters yourself, there are times where a physician's help is required. This was not one of them. BTW, this video was made in April 2006, almost 6-months BEFORE Steve Irwin was killed, so my "impression" at the beginning was not meant to be disrespectful in any way to the man or his family.

What's with the Crocadile-Hunter impression at the beginning? Its kind of tacky all things considered. Unless this was made before he died. Didn't this hurt? I heard this guy had his leg amputated from gangrene 'cause he did not go to the docotor.

Dude, read the info up top. This video was made in April 2006, The Croc Hunter was stung by the sting ray five months later in September. I still got my leg and there was no gangrene. I should post a follow-up picture, there is a scar.

Yeah, Simper Fidelist to you too. If you watch AND listen to the video, I douse the wound with lidocaine. Just 'cause it ends in "-caine" doesn't mean it'll get you high, but it will numb the heck out of that area as a topical anesthetic. Nothing heroic or Rambo-esque about that!

haha your not as crazy as me when it comes to self surgery.ive done this with no anesthetics at all.had some ugly scars and so I used forceps to and scissors to remove the skin.then sutured it up.much more graphic then this is.and yes it hurt but thats what endorphins are for.the main thing is to close the wound as much as possible to prevent scarring.

This little teenage-pig tusked my knee. It wasn't bad enough to go to the hospital for, and I often suture skin closed for my job so I decided to suture my knee wound myself. Its been about one year now and the knee has healed without becoming infected. There is a small, dark scar where the wound was.
