Um, Sterling Sharpe? Joe Morrison? 1984 Black Magic? 200 years of the best fans in any sport anywhere? Your fans turn off the tv when you go 8-4. Our team rushes the field and tears down the goalposts when we go 1-20.
Yes, the team has a mediocre history - but without a losing record in the last six years, we are slowly moving up in the SEC - by far the toughest conference in football.
If we played in a weak conference like the ACC, we would win a lot more games, too.

For a team with virtually no tradition, (except for George Rogers) Carolina has great fans and facilities. It's a mystery why they aren't more successful. Maybe the state is too small. Great recruiting year this year though. Maybe that will change in the next few years for them.
