There have been many sound effects or quotes that have made video games memorable like Sega Rally's "Game Over Yeah!" and "Toasty" from Mortal Kombat.

However, the Home Versions of Street Fighter II maybe inferior to their original arcade counterparts but they have one thing which is better than the Arcade Version....a kick ass Pause Sound which has mixes of grunts from the Street Fighter's themselves.

I found the sound fascinating and it's one of the hundreds of reasons why Capcom kicks so much ass in the video game market!

Enjoy the video!

  • 0:20 Say that to the Capcom after 2000

  • @coolman5242 They've been a fav developer of mine almost all my life but I thought they really took the piss with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I wouldn't even minded if the game came out in February 2012 literally a year after the original or so they can have more development time to make it DLC. If they did it with SSFIV AE, then why not with UMvC3? Mega Man in SF X T pissed me off too. It's one of the main reasons I import games because I hate a lot of the boxart compared to the Japan boxart.

  • @SuperMario811 So it balances out which means there is another reason to buy both.

  • 24 secs...

Hurricane kick and then he takes a dragon punch right in the nads.

Poor bastard. You don't dragon punch another guy in the penis, what the hell! Seriously. IT ain't cool.

  • Yup CAPCOM kicks lots of ass, and RE:Revelaitons proves it.

  • press 0 for shit lol

  • its my second favorite, my #1 favorite pause sound was the battle toads nes beat that would come on when it was paused.

  • Holy shit I just hear this sound randomly thru the day.

I'm still not used to the fact that MVC3 is such a clusterfuck. MVC2 was like the best ever. (as long as the "No Cable" rule is understood)

  • HA! HA! HA! HUR! HUR! HU! is my favorite

  • @theknightswhosayfrak it's actually pretty similar to me in both, but in Street Fighter you practically need micro second timing in order to perform combos, if you ever get the chance try the combo challenges in any version of Street Fighter 4 and you'll see what I mean, I'd be stuck for almost an 10-15 minutes trying to pull off a three hit punch/kick combo then do a special move for a fourth hit, and don't even get me started on combos that involve super and hyper moves

  • @theknightswhosayfrak Nah, I used to hate them too, but then I took a hadouken in the knee and as such I completely loathe them.

Nah, not really. Take your finger away from that dislike button, Street Fighter fans.

  • @RobJuanDeLaNooch My problem with Street Fighter II is that you have to push buttons in a certain order for the moves to work and they only work when they feel like it. In Mortal Kombat all you have to do is push the buttons at the same time.
