  • how does metal create problems?

  • @marajean1000 Hi! Good question. Glass is a sensitive medium to work with. If you were to try to fuse different glasses that have different COEs (Coefficient of expansion) the glass is likely to crumble. Glass, (In general) does not react well to outside contaminates. Now, that being said there are no rules in art! :-) You may even LIKE the result of having metal fragments in your glass. Experiment. COPPER holds up well in glass work. Personally, I worry about element damage (kiln) w/ metals.

  • Love your video. One question where did you get the filters and piston from...

  • @KirstenLeahy

Thanks! You can purchase the piston and filters from DELPHI. Just do a web search for "delphi glass", and then search the site for "frit piston"
