I waited over 50 years to see this! I was 6 or 7 when I watched this movie on TV. It was in the movies in 1953 but I was too young then. I remembered this film and thought about it often. I read articles that said that this film influenced directors like John Cassevettes and New French Film. It brought back great memories of growing up in Brooklyn and going to Coney Island in the 1950s.

"The Little Fugitive" aired on TCM.
April 9, 2009. I really like this film,
it's "a slice of life". There is something magic about Coney Island back in the 1950's!
