@Points2Shopzzz An ISP gets payed to connect you to the web, beyond that, they have very little control and no guarantee of profit. I can use that connection to access any content. On TV, they control all of the content and make all of the money from it. They want to maintain that monopoly. Sure, they take a piece of the internet pie, but all they can get is a piece, what they want is the whole thing.
