As Christians, there are times in our lives when we are called upon to deal with people who are arrogant and who come up to us trying to start arguments and being very demanding. Dealing with such people as a Christian can be extremely challenging for us. What we really need to consider is what Jesus would have done in such a situation. One such situation is chapter 8 verses 11 to 13 in Mark's gospel when a group of pharisee's came up to Jesus starting an argument with him and demanding he do miracles for them. This was just after Jesus had performed the miracle of feeding thousands of people with a few loaves and fish. Jesus was really disappointed with them, and just got on a boat and sailed and travelled over to the other side of Lake Gallillee.

When we are faced with such a situation and there is no hope of ever being being able to change the opinion of people who are argumentative arrogant and very ridiculing of your beliefs, it is probably best to imitate Jesus and to walk away from such people and metaphorically get in our boats and go to the other side of the lake also!
