@bluehorse888 I also think it shows how fucking desperate the world is regarding the crisis... I think we should send Silvester Stallone to the middle east too, in fact they should have did it a long time ago: Rambo would have find Bin Laden on 9/12 01 in the morning.

What I got from this and other people seem to be missing is that Douglas played his character so well people get mixed up.... People either think he actually is Gordon Gekko, or that he somehow agrees/understands with what Gekko is.
That's how well he played the part. Nothing short of amazing to be honest.

This is why we are in a recession because we have idiots asking actors for advice on the economic crisis

@matthewelync you're exactly right. hell, even the experts dont seem to know.

GREED IS GOOD, GREED IS RIGHT, GREED WORKS

Greed is good

lol i think Douglas should have gone to some financial lessons 25 years ago and made Gordon Gekko a real :)

Hands up who thinks Tim Roth is a dumb, fucking, son, of, a, bitch.
-
there is no other actor that could be Gordon Gekko except for Douglas...

@Evo2nr90 For me, Greed is bad, but extra money is not a bad thing, to have on hand!
This is pretty retarded for the press to be asking Douglas about the state of greed and the financial crisis when he is an ACTOR....ppfffffttt.
I do think his line 'Greed is Good' inspired a generation of raging assholes but to ask him about Wall Streets bank defaults as if he were an expert or even knowledgeable is stupid.

it's an interesting commentary on the psychology of the media that they are asking what "gekko" would do as if he was a real charecter. Am I the only one that thinks that's just a little bit nuts?
