@narutoxpein98 It's not official, but everything makes it very likely to be so. We know Chell was orphanaged at birth. Caroline was a scientists, and if it was her wish to keep Chell away from science it was the only thing she could do. And remember the flashbacks PotatOS had? Makes it pretty clear GLaDOS is based on Carolines mind, You could say they are the same - In the end it's Caroline speaking, when she lets you go. Then GLaDOS deletes her... Or does she?

@TheEdward4ever i would think its a good idea like there should be a crossover where you find chell injured and you have to help her get out but here is the problem will the portal gun work on normal surfaces...

Sorry for this, but seeing the scene where Chell finally makes it back to the surface got me thinking of this. Who thinks that they should combine Portal and Half-Life as a continuation of both series? I mean, they're both in the same universe, so why not? Of course, it would get rid of the solitude that comes with the portal games among other things, but I think it's a pretty good idea.
